Barham Farms Famous Heirloom Tomatoes

Heirloom tomatoes are special tomatoes grown from seeds that have been passed down for at least 100 years - frequently through several generations of families. Heirloom tomatoes are usually known for their specific valued characteristics. Most heirlooms are indeterminate plants which means they can grow and produce fruit all year. There are several colors and varieties available. Heirlooms in general are difficult to grow, especially in the greenhouse, because they are not usually very disease resistant and can be sensitive to cracking. So Barhams heirloom tomatoes are rather unique as there are few greenhouse heirlooms readily available in North Carolina and even rarer to find them in the winter time.
